Miles Davis All Stars | Walkin’ [Vinyl Album] LP

Recorded in April 1954 but not released for another three years, Walkin’ compiled quintet and sextet material previously released on two separate 10” LPs plus one unreleased piece from The Miles Davis All Stars. Featuring pianist Horace Silver, bassist Percy Heath, drummer Kenny Clarke, trombonist J.J. Johnson and saxophonists Lucky Thompson and David Schildkraut, it’s long been held up as a critical point in the evolution of hard bop.
