Madness | The Madness [Vinyl Album 2022 re-issue] LP

25.00

Heavyweight 180gram vinyl re-issue. Features the singles ‘I Pronounce You’ & ‘What’s That’.

The Madness is the only studio album by a short-lived incarnation of Madness formed by four of the original members – Suggs, Lee Thompson, Chris Foreman and Cathal Smyth – and was originally released in May 1988 on Virgin Records. The album marked a sonic departure from previous Madness albums and showcased an experimental direction, utilizing new technologies that would identify records by other artists from the same period. Without Madness’ bassist Mark Bedford, drummer Woody and keyboardist Mike Barson, these duties were performed by a number of featured musicians including UB40’s Earl Falconer (bass), Jerry Dammers and Elvis Costello And The Attractions’ Steve Nieve on keyboards and Simon Phillips on Drums.

This brand new reissue features exclusive liner notes containing in-depth interviews with band members Lee ‘Kix’ Thompson, Cathal ‘Chas Smash’ Smyth and Chrissyboy Foreman about their memories of making the record.
