Irish-born RADA graduate Jessie Buckley’s TV performances include the role of Princess Marya in BBC hit-adaptation of Tolstoy’s epic novel WAR AND PEACE and starring opposite Tom Hardy in historic drama series TABOO. This April she will be seen in the HBO / SKY series CHERNOBYL for Sister Pictures alongside Emily Watson.In 2018 Jessie had her first lead role in Michael Pearce’s critically acclaimed film BEAST, co-starring with Johnny Flynn. The film opened to rave reviews and Jessie won the most promising newcomer award at the British Independent Film Awards. Other pending nominations include the BAFTA ‘Rising Star’ award and ‘Best British or Irish Actress’ for the Critics Circle Awards. In 2019 Jessie Buckley will be seen as Rose-Lynn Harlan, the leading role in Tom Harper’s inspiring, infectiously joyous heart warmer WILD ROSE, about a charismatic young single mother who dreams of becoming a Nashville star. Starring alongside Julie Walters and Sophie Okonedo, Jessie also performs her own songs in the film, all of which will be featured on the soundtrack.
