The Aulos 103N Alouette recorder is the ideal model for very young students. Whereas most recorders come in 3 pieces with an adjustable thumb rest (which does come off), this model is of one a one piece design and has a fixed thumb rest. It does not need putting together and does not require any adjustments to be made prior to playing.
